Pool Floats for Special Needs

The floats are made from a foam material that is waterproof and has a soft texture. The floats can be inflated or deflated based on the child’s size and comfort level. The floats are available in different colors so they can be used as a visual aid for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The floats are made with durable vinyl in your choice of six bright colors: red, green, blue, yellow, orange, and blueberry (our “special” color). We offer similar products for children who have difficulty sitting upright without support; these do not have the same range of positions as the versions for more severely disabled children but allow for sitting/reclining or prone/supine positions only.

Many people are discouraged from swimming because they don’t have the tools they need to feel safe and comfortable in the water, but we believe that everyone deserves to have a positive experience in the pool. That’s why we make it our mission to bring swimming back into the lives of disabled individuals by providing top-notch floats, allowing them to engage with the water while they are doing something they love.

The floats come in 3 sizes: child, adult, and XL. Each float has 2 handles on either side to make it easy for users to hold on. The floats have been tested by people with many different needs, from cerebral palsy and autism to Down syndrome, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy and many other conditions. You can find all of our testing notes at our website.

Pool Floats for Special Needs is always looking for sponsors who will help us provide more children and adults with the opportunity to swim.

In our Pool Floats for Special Needs series, we’ve designed a number of different floats that are intended to help people with specific accessibility concerns enjoy the water in ways that make them feel comfortable and empowered.

Our first float is the AquaCushion-T. It’s a large, round floaty pillow with a cushioned seat in the middle that’s specially made to hold up to 250 pounds. It’s perfect for kids who have trouble sitting up in the water, or adults who would prefer to stay afloat but need support when they’re trying to stay in one spot.

The second float is the AquaCushion-C. This is designed to look like a clam shell, and it opens up so you can climb into it. You can then close it around yourself for maximum support and comfort—it’s great for people who need to avoid feeling like they’re submerged or floating on their own, and gives them a safe place to rest during the course of their time in the water.

The last float is called the AquaCushion-U. This looks like a regular pool floatie, except it has an attached tube that floats behind you and has a loop on either side of your head so you can rest your arms inside it.

Our prices are very competitive, and our shipping times are quick. We know how important it is to get the equipment you need in the hands of the people who need it as quickly as possible. That’s why we will do everything we can to make sure you get your float as quickly as possible—and at the best price available.
