Online School for Special Education Students

Special Education Online School (SEOS) is an online-only school for children with special needs, ranging in age from 10 to 18. Students can enroll full-time or part-time, and they can take the classes they need in order to graduate with their peers. Some of the classes offered are: math, English, history and government, science, art, music, physical education, and technology.

Unlike many other online schools for students with special needs and disabilities, SEOS does not require that students have an IEP in order to enroll. This means that students who may qualify for special education services but do not yet have an IEP could still receive the services they need in order to achieve their academic goals.

Studies have shown that this type of online education can be particularly beneficial for children with special needs, providing them with the opportunity to learn in a non-traditional environment that may help foster greater success. In fact, many students who participate in e-learning programs report improved academic performance, attendance, and behavior compared with their peers who do not take advantage of this learning format.

They have a wide range of disabilities including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and have trouble learning in traditional classrooms. The school’s curriculum is based around helping these students to learn the same things that their peers in other schools are learning. The teachers have been specially trained to give the students the help they need to succeed.

The school is not meant to be a replacement for a physical classroom, but rather an alternative option for students who would otherwise not be able to attend school at all. Classes are taught by teachers who are certified and licensed in their fields of study. The classes are offered through Skype or Google Hangouts so that the students can participate from anywhere with an Internet connection.

The online school was created because there were no options for children with special needs in the area where it was needed most. There were no local schools where these children could attend without being bullied or ostracized by their peers.

It is understandable that every student learns in a different way, so few offer adaptive math, reading and writing materials that can be tailored to your child’s individual needs . Need only one hour of math class today? No problem. Want to skip English today and focus on art? You got it. The teachers work with you to come up with a schedule and curriculum that works best for your child, because they know you know them the best.

They also know how hard it can be for parents of special needs children to find the resources they need to help their kids succeed, so if you sign up , you get access to a community of other parents who have been there—who are still there—and have built a support network that can help you navigate the challenges you’re facing.

Students at these schools have all kinds of learning disabilities and receive an individualized education from teachers who specialize in working with them. The teachers have a lot of experience teaching kids with disabilities like dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. They also offer wrap-around services for kids with more severe issues.
