Humana Special Needs Plans (HNPs) offer all of the benefits of Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans, but they also include additional coverage for specific health conditions. These plans are available to people who qualify and are normally available in a certain area or county. The government pays Humana a fixed amount each month for each member, and this amount may change from year to year. A member’s monthly premium is part of what Humana uses to pay for all the services that members receive under their plan, including prescription drugs and other extra benefits.
Humana Special Needs Plan is a great option for anyone who expects to have long hospital stays or needs health care on a frequent basis. This plan covers all of the basics and then some, with affordable premiums and low copays, so you can focus on your health without worrying about your budget.
Under this plan, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of doctors, clinics, and hospitals that are in-network for your plan. You’ll get quality coverage for everything from doctor’s visits to prescriptions to vision care. And there’s no need to worry about lifetime limits or dollar caps on your coverage—you can’t reach them.

You’ll also get access to a 24/7 nurse help line where you can ask questions about your treatment options or find out what steps to take next if you’ve been recently diagnosed with an illness.
You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium. If you qualify for help paying your out-of-pocket costs, this plan provides extra benefits beyond Original Medicare to help you pay for some of the out-of-pocket costs associated with your medical care.
