The program is offered online through distance learning and face-to-face classes at our campus locations, providing students with flexibility to complete their degree at their own pace. The curriculum includes coursework in general education, educational technology, language arts, reading, math, life sciences and social sciences. Students will also complete coursework in two areas of specialization: mild to moderate disabilities and severe disabilities.
Students who graduate from this program will have the knowledge and skills necessary to work as early childhood interventionists, elementary teachers, secondary teachers, resource specialists or teaching assistants in public schools or private agencies.

The program culminates with an internship course that allows students to gain hands-on experience working with exceptional learners in a supervised setting.
